This is a draft. HookAI is not released yet, and this page covers the waitlist on this website. The section "When the app launches" describes what we plan for the app and will be finalized before launch.
Who we are
HookAI is run by John Kelly, an individual. Contact: support@tryhookai.app.
What the waitlist collects
- Your email address.
- Which platforms you post on (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube).
- Your follower range.
We do not ask for your name. When you submit the form, Cloudflare and its Turnstile spam check may see your IP address to tell people from bots.
Why
To invite you to the creator beta, tell you when HookAI launches, and offer founding-member pricing. We use your platforms and follower range to understand who HookAI is for.
Where it is stored, and who sees it
Sign-ups are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database that we control. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with other companies. Only the site owner can view or export the list.
How long we keep it
We keep it until the launch emails are done, then delete it within 30 days. You can ask us to remove it sooner at any time. See Data deletion.
Emails
We will email you about the beta and the launch. Every marketing email will say how to stop getting them. If you ask us to stop, we will stop, and we will not email you again.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete your data by emailing support@tryhookai.app from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my data".
If you are in the EU, you can also ask for a copy of your data, ask us to erase it, and object to us using it for direct marketing. Write to support@tryhookai.app with the request.
When the app launches
None of this is live yet. It describes what the app is designed to do, and we will update this policy before the app is released.
Your videos stay on your device
HookAI is designed to transcribe, analyze and edit your videos on your iPhone or iPad. It is designed so that no HookAI server receives your video, audio or transcripts.
Your account
The app is designed to use Sign in with Apple. The account is designed to back up your hook library and your Hook Insights history (numbers per Version, such as views). It does not back up your videos or your social-media login tokens. You will be able to delete the account in the app. See Data deletion.
Connected accounts (optional)
For Hook Insights you can connect TikTok, Instagram and YouTube so the app can read your video stats. This is optional and you can disconnect in the app. The login tokens are designed to stay on your phone. Stats are used to show you your own results.
- Google and YouTube: Google's API policy limits use of Google user data to providing or improving features the user can see, and it prohibits transferring or selling that data to third parties such as advertising platforms. We plan to follow that.
- Instagram: Meta's terms require us to delete platform data when you ask and when it is no longer needed, and they prohibit selling it. We plan to follow that.
- TikTok: TikTok's developer terms limit TikTok data to developing, maintaining and supporting the app. We plan to follow that.
